Skirting Team

Our Skirting Team is made up of wonderful volunteers who have a blast together at the tedious work of skirting fleece for the next round of Blue Ridge Blankets. After shearing and before the fiber hits the mill, it passes through our careful hands, removing all the short cuts, burrs and hay, so it is ready for processing. We skirt on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Local Cloth Studio. Free training provided!

Interested in volunteering? Check our calendar for Skirting Team Dates!
