Warren Wilson College and the Textile Fibershed Project

Being a college student at Warren Wilson College is a unique experiential learning experience. Fiber Arts Crew students integrate their academic studies with their daily work activities. The students hand process wool raised on the farm, work with natural dyes grown in the dye garden, and weave a variety of products made from these resources. Students will talk about how these activities create community and research opportunities within the fibershed of the Swannanoa Valley.

Student presenters include Kat Camara, Ella Conder, Kylie Cook, and Keegan Van Gorder. Introduction by Melanie Wilder, Supervisor Fiber Arts Crew.

The Textile Study Group is a free lecture series open to the public.

The group meets at 5:30 pm on the 3rd Wednesday (with some exceptions) at The Center for Craft Creativity and Design, 67 Broadway Street, Asheville, NC 28787.

Come as you are, no RSVP necessary.
