Why swap?

The statistics of the amount of clothes that end up in landfills is sobering: according to a Newsweek article Americans throw away up to 14 tons of clothes, that’s 80 pounds per person each year. You can take your unwanted items to Goodwill or other sites but most of those clothes will end up in landfills as well. Check out this article to learn more about the cost of fast fashion: here.

So, why not ‘shop’ for free and support the environment at the same time.

1. Go through your closet and pick out those gently worn items that you aren’t wearing

2. Set them out for viewing

3. ‘Shop’ from other stashes, taking whatever you want

Some guidelines

Please bring clean items, no underwear unless it’s new, there is no minimum but don’t bring more than 25 items, jewelry, purses, accessories are all welcome.
