Create fabrics that are unique and complex using the vibrant color palette of natural dye extracts that completely dissolve in water. This one-day workshop will introduce you to the many possibilities the natural dye palette offers- yellows, orange, reds, and purple. Learn about proper mordanting and experiment with surface design techniques on your silk fabric including stamping, block printing and silk screening. Different simple methods for color effects and patterns will be explored; including applying different mordants and natural dyes.
All levels welcome.
