On Monday, April 23rd, the first day of Fashion Revolution Week, Local Cloth will host a Slow-Fashion Sip and Sew in the Local Cloth studio at 207 Coxe Avenue in Asheville from 4-6pm. The expanding slow-fashion movement serves as an alternative to the fast fashion industry that is causing much harm to our environment and to garment workers worldwide. Slow fashion is our response and focuses on quality, sustainability, and fairness for consumers and producers. Join us on Monday April 23rd from 4-6pm in our Refinery Studio to make, mend, and create loved clothes that will last. Bring your sewing machines if you are able. Otherwise, feel free to come and work on pattern drafting, cutting, mending, closures, handwork, and more.
This event is free and open to the public
