Natural Dye and Medicinal Plant Group

Our meeting for October will focus on the easy to gather onion skins. Don't throw these away, the skins give a lovely orange or yellow-green color, depending on what kind of onions you are using. Separate your yellow and red onion skins, no special storage required. We will make a sample card and you will have the opportunity to dye your own fiber as well. You will need 100% WOG and bring your fiber pre-mordanted with alum if you want to do your own dyeing. If you don't want to dye your own fiber, we will have all the materials you need for the sample card. Hope to see you for some autumnal colors!
