Create and Weave a Painted Warp

This class is all about creating and weaving a warp unique to your vision! You will work on pre-warped table looms with easy to apply fabric paints. On day one you will paint. Day two, you will weave using a simple weaving pattern and then take home your masterpiece. You can create a wall hanging or scarf. The finished piece will be approximately 8”x42”. Your instructors will also show you how to embellish your finished work with beads, needle felting or appliqué work!

Instructor provided materials: Pre-warped table looms, paints, weft threads, appropriate handouts Looms, Warp, weft material, fabric paint, bobbins, shuttles., 

Student should bring: You should come with a few ideas in mind of what you want to paint. It can be impressionistic or realistic. Experience has taught us that having actual pictures from magazines or drawings you have made helps. Your instructors will help you choose what will translate best. Bring your lunch and something to drink on both days. Bring a notebook and pencil/pen to take notes. As this can be a little messy you may wish to either wear clothes that can get messy or an apron.
