The Needle Book is an old textile tool used by those who sewed. They were made from various materials and stored the pins and needles necessary for working. Needle Books are still used by professional needleworkers and artists to keep their tools of the trade close at hand. We will be learning the simple basics of book making as we create a leather covered and lined needle book with felt pages and a choice of several different closures. All supplies and tools furnished for your use. Handouts provided so you can make more at home.
MATERIALS FEE 20 dollars: leather for cover(various colors,) book board, leather for lining, felt for pages, buttons and waxed linen thread.Glue, paper, patterns

What to bring/how to dress: none, except if you wish you can bring a nice button between 1/2" and 1" (but instructor will be bringing more buttons.
