If you are a fiber farmer, located within a 100 mile radius of Asheville, NC, it's time to gather! We want to put YOU on the map.
The Fiber Farmer Listening Sessions are an opportunity to:

About the location: Cherry Mountain Farm and General Store is in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Come see their beautiful breed of Angora goats, guardian dogs and the mohair yarn in their eclectic general store.

What to Bring:
Come prepared to share about your farm: the fiber type you raise, how you are selling and processing your fiber, resources you have for scouring, shearing and skirting, what mills you are using, etc.
Bring your questions, needs and dreams for your fiber farm.
A notebook and pen to take notes.
If you’d like to have a sample of your fiber assessed with a micron tester, please bring a washed, clean sample (no VM), with a small sample from shoulder, rib and britch for an overall reading, in a labeled zip lock bag. $5/sample. 5 or more = $3/sample. Samples will be processed at the Fiber Farmers Day on April 22nd and reports will be emailed shortly after.
If you’d like us to include your fiber in our regional fiber sample book, please bring 2 oz of your washed fiber.
