If you are a fiber farmer, located within a 100 mile radius of Asheville, NC, it's time to gather! We want to put YOU on the map.
The Fiber Farmer Listening Sessions are an opportunity to:

About the location: Two Roots Fiber Mill is nestled against the mountains of NE Tennessee and includes an alpaca ranch, a fiber mill and a hobby vineyard. Their fiber mill caters to regional fiber farms by specializing in creating artisan products: yarn, core spun yarn, roving, batts and wet felted sheets.
Host/ Guest Speaker: Ruth Ann Goss will give a tour of the fiber mill and a presentation about how to prepare your fiber for the mill.
What to Bring:
Come prepared to share about your farm: the fiber type you raise, how you are selling and processing your fiber, resources you have for scouring, shearing and skirting, what mills you are using, etc.
Bring your questions, needs and dreams for your fiber farm.
A notebook and pen to take notes.
If you’d like to have a sample of your fiber assessed with a micron tester, please bring a washed, clean sample (no VM), with a small sample from shoulder, rib and britch for an overall reading, in a labeled zip lock bag. $5/sample. 5 or more = $3/sample. Samples will be processed at the Fiber Farmers Day on April 22nd and reports will be emailed shortly after.
