Shibori Scarves

Looking for gift ideas for the holidays? How about a hand dyed silk scarf! For this class, we'll each dye 2 silk scarves using Japanese Shibori techniques and explore the ways in which cloth can be folded and tied or clamped to create dazzling designs. We'll have pots of acid dyes so you can get just the right color blend. There will be samples on hand to give you lots of ideas for getting just the design you want.

Non Members: 60  dollars

Materials Fee:  15 dollars for scarves, resist materials, dyes, pots, instructions What to bring:old towels, plastic bags for wet material, gloves [kitchen gloves work well]; wear old clothes or an apron
