Weaving Edgings on an Inkle Loom

Inkle weaving is great for belts and straps, but it can also be used to make some delightful trims and edgings. They can be narrow or wider, looped or fringed, stiff [for bags or upholstery] or soft for clothing. There are endless options! Bring a dressed inkle loom and leave with lots of samples and ideas. Options: If you are not comfortable setting up the loom, there is a class Friday afternoon to help. If you do not have a loom, a few will be available to rent.

Level: Beginner

Members: $100

Non-Members: $120

Materials fee: $5 (collected at time of workshop)

Materials provided by instructor:  printed instructions, a variety of weft yarns optional looms for rent, warp yarns to purchase

Students should bring: dressed loom and shuttle, a variety of weft yarns, scissors
